Euthanasia Services

There are various circumstances that lead to pet euthanasia, and I understand the enormity of making such a decision. If the in-home setting seems preferable over making that arduous last trip to your regular veterinarian, I am here to help. All my years of practice have enabled me to offer the most peaceful experience for both you and your pet.

Arrival

Upon my arrival, I use this time to get to know your pet and family. My goal is to offer a relaxed atmosphere where no part of the process is rushed. I feel it is important to establish trust and friendship to make this difficult process just a little bit easier.

Moment Is Right

When the moment is right, I will give your pet a sedative. This medication will take effect between 5-10 minutes. They will peacefully drift off to sleep. Once asleep, they are in a state of complete anesthesia with no sense of consciousness or pain. Owners often comment how nice it is to see their pet so relaxed, especially in circumstances with disease or pain.

Sedation

Once your pet is completely sedated and you and your family are ready, I will administer a second medication that is a stronger anesthetic. Your pet’s sleep will deepen further until they pass quietly, peacefully, and without any pain or suffering.

Goodbyes

Once goodbyes commence, I will leave you with your pet if you have your own burial arrangements; however, most choose to have their pets cremated. If that is your preference, I will transport the remains with me as I leave.
